Like other members of the Growers Mutual team, Marc Graber is an insurance industry veteran. Before assuming the role of president at Growers Mutual Insurance nearly seven years ago, Marc spent over 30 years at Graber Insurance, a family-owned agency started by his father and great uncle.
Tim Craig
Vice President
Tim Craig knew from an early age that he was destined for the insurance business. As a creative person, Tim enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the insurance industry. While one doesn’t necessarily think of insurance as being a creative enterprise, it does take a creative mind to address many of the issues it faces. With farms growing larger and more complex, specific risk characteristics require unique coverage. It’s this mindset that helps Growers Mutual continue to evolve and meet the needs of its clients year after year.
Jim Craig
Secretary
Jim Craig has earned the respect and confidence of both clients and insurance professionals. Jim became an insurance agent in 1974. Jim’s background in farming and vast knowledge of the agriculture industry have proven to be tremendous assets for Growers Mutual clients. For more than 50 years, Jim has witnessed many changes to the agricultural industry and continues to pioneer new insurance products to ensure Growers Mutual changes with the times.

Craig Smith takes pride in his ability to offer clients solutions other companies can’t. Since 2016, Craig has worked closely with the Growers Mutual network of agents and partners to ensure he’s addressing clients’ needs on an individual level. And when his clients’ needs change, Craig does everything he can to tailor coverage that protects them against new risks.

After spending nearly three decades in the insurance industry, Eric Hubicki has seen the field evolve dramatically. Eric uses that expertise to guide Growers Mutual as a member of its board of directors, a role he’s held since 2011. Along with the rest of the leadership team, Eric takes pride in offering the best possible policies, from automotive to commercial coverage.

Brad Rickey sets himself apart from others in the insurance industry by finding ways to approve — not decline — policies. Brad goes out of his way to find coverage that suits clients’ needs — and nothing more. And as the underwriting manager, Brad shares that passion with the rest of the Growers Mutual team.
Penny Ladd

Penny Ladd has been with Growers in a variety of roles since 2005. For more than 10 years, she has been a part of our underwriting department and processes renewals, change requests and maintains file compliance. Penny is married to her husband, David and has 2 grown children. In her free time, she and her husband especially enjoy visiting their granddaughter and antiquing.

Carol knows how to make the numbers work. Whether she’s evaluating the viability of a new policy or sending coverage quotes to clients, her expertise has helped the company grow into the comprehensive resource it is today. Carol works alongside her son, Tim Craig, who serves as Vice President, and her husband of over 50 years, Jim Craig, who serves as secretary.
